Electromyography Biofeedback- this
method is based on the
theory of plasticity of the
brain, which suggests that
learning in the brain is an
active and continuous
process and does not depend
on age. The learning process
used in biofeedback is
better known as Operant
Conditioning. It is used
to establish learning
control of specific
physiological responses such
as EMG responses. This
technique involves
recruiting active and intact
neurons in lieu of the
damaged ones by forming new
motor neuron connections
with the help of audio-
visual inputs to the brain. |
